Are JAWS refill pods reusable?
No, JAWS refill pods are not reusable because the seal is broken when the concentrate is released into the water. However, the pods are recyclable.
Can I use the Hardwood Floor Cleaner on other surfaces?
Yes, you can! Our neutral pH Hardwood Floor Cleaner is suitable for many other surfaces. Please see the entire list of surfaces here.
Do I need to shake the bottle to get the concentrate to dissolve or mix with the water?
It is not necessary to shake the bottle. Once the concentrate releases, it mixes with the water and is ready to use.
Do I need to use hot water?
JAWS pods will work with any water temperature.
Does the bottle have to be completely empty before refilling?
For the best results, completely use the contents of the bottle before refilling. The concentrated cleaner is formulated to mix with 25 oz. of water. For consistent cleaning results, we recommend rinsing the bottle with fresh water before using the next pod.
How many times can I reuse the bottle?
The bottle is made to be used over and over again.
Are JAWS products biodegradable?
Yes, All JAWS ready-to-use formulas are biodegradable. The safer surfactants in our products break down quickly to non-polluting compounds and help protect aquatic life in both fresh and salt water.
Are your products hypoallergenic?
Although the JAWS formulas have been developed using ingredients evaluated by third-party agencies for their lack of sensitization potential, there is no industry standard for certification of hypoallergenic and data has not been developed to substantiate such a claim. The beauty of the JAWS system resides in the minimization of potential user contact with the concentrated cleaning materials, thereby mitigating some of the risk of allergic reaction.
Is it safe for homes with pets?
Yes, when used according to the label directions JAWS formulations are safe for use in households with pets. As with any other cleaning materials, we recommend rinsing food and drinking water dishes, or other surfaces that pets may come into prolonged contact with, after using our cleaners.
Is it true that I can clean my LCD, plasma TVs, computer monitors, and smart phone with JAWS Glass Cleaner?
Yes! It’s best if you spray our alcohol-free and ammonia-free glass cleaner on a lint-free cloth first, and then wipe the surface. Find out more on the JAWS Glass Cleaner page.
The color of the JAWS cleaner I make at home is not as vibrant as the ready-to-use JAWS cleaner I purchased at the store. Does the formula perform as well?
The color of the cleaner does not impact the performance of the cleaner. Dyes are added to the cleaning formula to make the color and are not a cleaning agent. The small size of the JAWS refill pods limits the amount of dye that can be added, therefore the color may not be as vibrant. However, the formula is equally robust and performs as well as the ready-to-use bottle.
What do I do if my sprayer doesn’t work?
First, check to see if the sprayer nozzle is in the correct position. As with many spray bottles, JAWS sprayers have four positions: Spray, Off, Stream, and Off. These are marked on the front tip of the nozzle. If your sprayer is broken, please contact us and we will replace your sprayer. We will ask that you send us the broken sprayer for evaluation and we will pay for the postage.
What if I have hard water? Will JAWS products still work?
Yes. Each of the JAWS formulations has been designed to work in hard water. However, they generally perform best in softened water.

Where can I purchase JAWS refills?

How do I change the refill pod?
Refill pods are easy to remove. The top of the pod has a rim around it to keep it from going inside the bottle. Slip your fingernail or a dull butter knife under it and it should pull out easily. After you have completely used your bottle of cleaner, remove the empty pod, fill your bottle with water to the fill line, drop the pod in the neck of the bottle, then insert the sprayer and twist it on. The twisting action of the sprayer will release the concentrated cleaner into the water.
Will my windows streak if I clean them with JAWS Glass Cleaner in the sunlight?
JAWS Glass Cleaner does not contain ammonia or alcohol and is a non-streaking formula. This ammonia-free glass cleaner does not dry as quickly as other glass cleaners and doesn’t streak – even in sunlight! It’s the best streak-free window cleaner on the market!
Will JAWS products harm my granite countertops?
JAWS Glass Cleaner and Kitchen Cleaner/Degreaser products are best for this use, and will not harm your sealed granite counter tops. In fact, both products will make your granite look great by giving it a streak-free shine. However, they are not suggested for natural marble. If you have natural marble, please make sure to do a spot test in a well-hidden place first.
What if I want to add two pods to one bottle?
We recommend that you do not use more than one pod in each bottle. Our pods are concentrated and prepared for the recommended dilution rate.
I bought my JAWS at a local retailer, but the attached pod won't release from the plastic holding ring. What should I do?
First remove the holding ring from the bottle. Hold onto the plastic holding ring tightly. Then pull the pod up firmly while twisting. If you have any trouble we would be happy to help you. Just contact us!
We are thinking about having our kitchen countertops replaced with quartz. Which of the JAWS products should we use to clean the new countertops?
Does JAWS test on animals?
Absolutely not! JAWS does not test our products on animals or use any animal derived materials in the products manufactured.

Can JAWS Hardwood Floor Cleaner be used on any other types of flooring?
With a neutral pH that is gentle and safe on wood floors, the JAWS Hardwood Floor Cleaner can be used to clean sealed wood, laminate, linoleum, tile and marble flooring. Our hardwood floor cleaner is designed to preserve everything you love about the natural look of wood flooring, so all chemicals we use are non-abrasive and will not strip any of the finish on your floor. IN addition to hardwood floors and several other types of flooring, the JAWS Hardwood Floor Cleaner can also be used to cleaning sealed wood cabinetry, tables, or shelving.
Many of JAWS Cleaners are Safer Choice Certified. What does that mean? Better title: What does Safer Choice Certified mean?
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Safer Choice label helps buyers identify and products with safer chemical ingredients, without sacrificing quality or performance. Can I use JAWS refill Pod in any container I want?
JAWS refill pods are designed to be used only with official JAWS bottles and sprayers. If the refill pods are inserted into the neck of another bottle, and the sprayer is twisted on, it will not release the concentrate into the water.
Are the JAWS Products EPA Safer Choice?
Currently the JAWS Glass, Kitchen, Hardwood, Shower, Granite and Foaming Bathroom are all Safer Choice. The JAWS Multi-Purpose Cleaner is currently going through the process.
